All SAHA Bootcamps include basic skills training in hand and power tools, safety, construction math, print reading, hands-on experience building projects, career and resume preparation. and your choice of trade-specific focused training in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or roofing. 
 

For SAHA's Construction Skills Bootcamp, students must be able to:
 

1. Attend class each week for the duration of the bootcamp

2. Complete online* coursework outside of class hours including reading materials, watching short videos, and self-quizzing for knowledge retention

3. Complete the required basic skills exam + lab exercises* at the SAHA facility

4. Comprehend and follow safety instructions

5. Independently operate power tools

6. Lift wood and equipment (up to 40 lbs)

7. Stand for long periods of time on concrete floors​

Attending a SAHA Bootcamp is FREE to Mobile area residents pursuing a career in the residential construction/trades industry. If you are an out-of-state resident or looking to attend the Construction Skills Bootcamp at SAHA outside of this purpose, please contact us to inquire about tuition costs. ​​

*Note: Laptops are not required as SAHA coursework can be completed using a smartphone. SAHA provides all of the tools and equipment needed to complete our lab exercises.
